Privacy

Field Notes is a free static study site for the US amateur radio Technician exam. It does not require an account and this validation launch carries no advertising.

Study progress on this device

When browser storage is available, the trainer saves practice counts, missed-question progress, and a mock-exam result in this browser. The trainer uses that information to show your study progress. These features do not send your answers or progress to the operator. You can clear saved study data from the Pool page or clear this site's browser storage.

Analytics and cookies

This site does not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising scripts, or third-party scripts. It does not set cookies for analytics or advertising, so there is no tracking consent prompt. The study progress described above uses browser local storage.

Requests to the hosting provider

The site is hosted by Netlify. Your browser sends requests to the host to load the pages and files. The hosting provider may process connection information, such as an IP address and requested file, to deliver and protect the site. Netlify's handling of that information is described in its privacy statement.

Messages to the operator

If you email the operator, the operator receives the email address and message you choose to send and uses them to respond. The site has no contact form.
